Public advisory issued for Audrina birth control with mislabeled day tracker

Health Canada has issued a public advisory for a birth control pill that misprinted its day-of-the-week sticker.
Some batches of Audrina 28 have accidentally listed Thursday as “TUE/MAR,” which could cause confusion as to when the drug is supposed to be administered.
“If the day is not accurate on the sticker, there may be an increased risk of missing a dose or taking too many pills,” reads the alert. “Missing a dose could lead to pregnancy. Taking too many pills could increase the risk of side effects, such as nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and spotting or bleeding.”

The misprint doesn’t have an effect on the quality of the pills, and they’ll still work as prescribed.
Anyone who wishes to continue using the pill is welcomed by Health Canada to do so, but the federal agency urges users to remain vigilant.
Additionally, if you find you have one of the affected batches of the pill in your possession, Jamp Pharma Corp, the pharmaceutical company that makes the pill, is ready to send you a replacement sticker.
To get your own, visit the pharmacy you filled the prescription at or contact Jamp Pharma Corp by emailing them at serviceclient@jamppharma.com or phoning 1-866-399-9091.
