Health Canada says a brand of soybean paste has been recalled on Tuesday due to improperly declared peanuts.

The organization says the affected product is the Ofood brand of mild ssamjang original seasoned soybean paste.

This includes the 170 g, 500 g and 1 kg packages where peanuts are not declared on the bilingual label.

Customers with the recalled product are being advised to not consume recalled products that they are allergic or sensitive to as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.

Recalled products should not be served, used, sold or distributed and must be thrown out or returned to the location where they were purchased.
