Hamilton police spent a second day searching a central Hamilton home Thursday, in connection to the disappearance of Emily Bailey.
The young mother of two was last seen four and a half years ago, and police suspect foul play.
It’s also important to note that no charges have been laid and police have not named any suspects in the matter, and that includes the residents at the Stinson Street address being searched.
Police cruisers were parked outside of a duplex home at the corner of Stinson and Wellington streets again Thursday morning, as police continued to search the property.
Investigators said Wednesday that they received fresh information leading them to this address, four and a half years into their search for Emily Bailey.

The 23-year-old mother of two was last seen on New Year’s Day of 2022.
Her disappearance was taken over by the homicide unit in March that year, and police suspect foul play, though they have not named any suspects.
A man who identified himself to CHCH News as the tenant who lives at the Stinson Street address, says he’s the brother of Jeff Johnson — Emily’s boyfriend and the last person to see her.
The tenant, Dean, didn’t want to appear on camera or make a formal statement at this time, but told CHCH News that he’s cooperating with police and hopes they find Bailey, but says they won’t find anything at his home and feels he and his brother have been unfairly targeted.
38-year-old Jeff Johnson is currently incarcerated on charges of breaking and entering and theft and is set for release in July.

Police have already searched the home that he and Bailey shared on Weir Street in July 2022.
The K9 unit, forensics team in hazmat suits and Ontario Provincial Police’s Urban Search and Rescue Team were all on scene Thursday.
The day before, two large storage containers were placed on the driveway and on Thursday officers appeared to be carrying items from the containers back into the house.
Several people stopped by the scene throughout the day, many saying they’ve followed this case for years and hope the family are able to get some closure.
Once again, police have not identified any suspects, but they do say they’ll be searching the home for several days.
