$20K reward instated for information on missing Emily Bailey

The Hamilton Police Services Board has approved a $20 thousand reward for information on what happened to a Hamilton woman who has been missing since 2022.
In a board meeting yesterday, the motion to instate the reward was passed unanimously by all members.
Twenty-three-year-old Emily Bailey has been missing since she was last seen leaving her home on New Year’s Day in 2022. Her family says that it is extremely out of character for the mother of two to not speak with them or post on social media which raised their concerns further.
Bailey’s family and friends say despite past issues with drugs and homelessness, Emily was trying to turn her life around before she disappeared.

Two months after her disappearance, the homicide unit took over the investigation due to their belief of foul play being involved.
This approval comes after a photo was posted to Bailey’s TikTok account in May of this year after she had not posted since December of 2021.
Investigators believe that the account was hacked, but had reached out to TikTok for confirmation.
Though police have been investigating extensively since her disappearance, they are hoping the new reward will bring more information forward to determine exactly what happened to the mother of two after she left her home on New Year’s Day of 2022.
Anyone with information on Bailey’s disappearance is asked to contact investigators at 905-546-4863.
