Police identify 23-year-old woman found dead in St. Catharines home

Niagara police have identified 23-year-old Vidhi Kalpeshkumar Megha as the woman found dead in a St. Catharines home two weeks ago.

On May 15, officers responded to a home in the area of Lakeshore Road and Lake Street for reports of two people without vital signs.

Authorities found a woman dead in the home upon arrival, while a man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim’s family has been notified and investigators have determined this was an isolated incident. There is no ongoing threat to public safety.

On May 18, detectives arrested and charged 40-year-old Joshua St Omer of St. Catharines with second degree murder.
