Niagara police’s homicide unit is investigating the sudden death of a woman Friday in St. Catharines.
Officers were called around 4:15 p.m. to a home in the area of Lakeshore Road and Lake Street for reports of two people without vital signs.
A woman was found dead in the home, while a man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the woman’s death or the man’s injuries, however, police confirm her death is suspicious.
No charges have been laid at this time.
