A cyclist is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit Sunday evening by a vehicle in Beamsville.

The incident occurred in the area of Drake Avenue and Ontario Street shortly after 9 p.m. Police say the woman who was driving the vehicle remained at the scene.

The injured man was transported to an out-of-region hospital.

There is no information regarding possible Highway Traffic Act charges at this time.
