OPP close road after multi-unit residential structure fire in Paris, Ont.

A multi-unit residential structure fire prompted a road closure in Paris, Ont. on Tuesday morning.

OPP West Region says fire and local emergency crews were dispatched to the blaze, which started around 3 a.m.

Paris Road between Dundas Street East and Oak Park Road was closed just before 5 a.m. while authorities attended to the scene.

“All people in the building were evacuated and no injuries to report,” says Jordan Jones, Brant Emergency and Protective Services.

The cause is under investigation and the Office of the Fire Marshal has been notified, adds Jones.

It is not yet known if the fire is suspicious in nature.

Damages to the building have yet to be determined.
