Ontario reports 158 new cases of COVID-19, two new deaths

Ontario is reporting 158 new cases of COVID-19.

The case count marks a slight decline from Saturday’s count of 169 new cases.

According to Health Minister Christine Elliott, Toronto reported the most new cases in the province with 49.

Peel, Ottawa, and York Region follow.

Ontario is reporting 158 cases of #COVID19 as the province processed nearly 29,000 tests. Toronto is reporting 49 new cases, with 44 in Peel, 21 in Ottawa and 16 in York Region.

A total of 28,955 were completed in Ontario.

111 cases have been resolved across the province in the past day.

There have been two new deaths recorded, bringing the death count up to 2,813.

Patients in the hospital with the virus have dropped to 52 which is six people less than Saturday’s report.

15 of those are in the ICU with nine of them on a ventilator.

As of today, there is a total of 1,390 active cases in Ontario.

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 21 active cases

Brant: 0 new cases, 3 active cases

Niagara: 2 new cases, 13 active cases
