Halton police have seized two firearms and laid multiple charges as part of a theft investigation that began in Milton.
On Sept. 2, officers say the two accused broke into a parked vehicle in Milton and stole cash and other valuables, including a watch.
On Sept. 3, investigators say the same two suspects attended Elements Casino in Milton and stole cash from a guest services drawer. The suspects fled when confronted by security at the casino.
Detectives began an investigation and identified the two accused, who worked together in both thefts.
On Oct. 1, officers executed a search warrant at a home in North York and the two suspects were arrested inside the home.
Alongside the arrest, police seized a stolen Glock 17 handgun with three loaded magazines, a Norinco Type 56 rifle with two loaded magazines and a spring-assisted knife (prohibited device).

They also recovered items stolen during the break-in to the vehicle in Milton.
Iraklii Shariia, 38, and Davit Kukhilava, 47, both of North York are facing several weapon and theft-related charges including possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and theft over $5,000.
Kukhilava was also charged with possession of a prohibited device.
Officers say Shariia and Kukhilava were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
