Ontario reports 149 new COVID-19 cases, no new deaths

Ontario is reporting 149 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths.

This is a decrease from the past two days, which saw new cases climb to 185 on Tuesday and 190 on Monday.

It’s also the third day in a row no new deaths have been reported.

Twenty-one of the province’s 35 health units are reporting no new cases, according to Minister of Health Christine Elliott.

The province completed over 17,600 tests.

Another 136 cases were marked as resolved.

The number of patients in hospital, in the ICU and on ventilators remained mostly stable.

There are 1,540 active cases of COVID-19 in Ontario.

 

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 21 active cases

Brant: 0 new cases, 3 active cases

Niagara: 2 new cases, 17 active cases

Hamilton: 2 new cases, 87 active cases

Halton: 8 new cases, 40 active cases
