Ontarians hit with $180M charge over power plant move

The energy minister isn’t calling it a mistake, but the residents of Ontario are now on the hook for $180 million after the Liberals decided to stop the construction of a gas fired power plant in Mississauga, days before last fall’s provincial election.

Energy minister Chris Bentley announced today that the controversial plant will now be relocated in Sarnia. Scot Urquhart tells us that change will cost Ontario residents a bundle.
