While the city is still grieving the deaths of the two women in the Elliot Lake mall tragedy, concern is focusing now on the others impacted by the roof collapse.

The roof collapse left hundreds of people without jobs to go to. It was a major economic blow to the city. More than half of the store space in the city was in the mall, along with government services and a big hotel.

This morning, the provincial government announced a plan to help Elliot Lake recover. It’s putting up two million dollars to help businesses find other locations to open up, and put people back to work.
