Niagara River Search

Emergency officials will resume their search of the Niagara River this morning after receiving reports of two people in the water last evening.
Officials on the American side of the river were notified that tourists had spotted two people in the water near the Whirlpool Bridge around 6:00 last evening.
A search was initiated using jet boats and a helicopter, but it had to be called off when it became too dark.
