The next Canadian astronaut to visit the ISS
Canada’s minister of Science and Innovation has announced the next Canadian astronaut that will be visiting the International Space Station in 2018.
The announcement was made at a press conference Monday morning in Ottawa by Minister Navdeep Bains.
46 year old, David Saint-Jacques is originally from Quebec City. He will make his visit to the International Space Station in November 2018.
Saint-Jacques will take part in a six month mission at the space station.
He along with 40 year old Jeremy Hansen of London, were both named Canada’s newest astronaut in 2009.
Saint-Jacques will have to go through another two years of training before his upcoming mission.
