Israel cabinet committee meets on Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal, hostages could be released Sunday

Israel’s security cabinet is meeting today to approve the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal and some hostages could be released on Sunday.
The agreement would see a pause in fighting in Gaza and a phased release of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages.
Thirty-three hostages are expected to be released over the next two months in exchange for hundreds of Palestinians imprisoned by Israel.
The prime minister of Israel’s office officially informed families of the hostages that a release deal has been agreed. Around 100 hostages, some of whom are Israeli soldiers, are still in Gaza.
