Hamilton police have charged a woman involved in a fatal collision that happened almost four months ago.
On Feb.17, a two-vehicle crash happened at around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Wilson Street and the Highway 403 off-ramp in Ancaster.
Investigators say a 2025 Jeep Compass, driven by a 29-year-old woman, was travelling westbound on Wilson Street at a high rate of speed in dense fog.
At the same time, they say a 2022 Acura MDX, operated by a 52-year-old man, had exited Highway 403 and was attempting to turn left onto Wilson Street when the two vehicles collided.
The man driving the Acura was pronounced dead in hospital. The 43-year-old woman in the passenger seat sustained non-life threatening injuries.
