Track upgrades disrupt Lakeshore West Go service this weekend

GO Transit riders on the Lakeshore West line can expect temporary service adjustments this weekend to accommodate major track upgrades.

On Friday, there will also be some service adjustments. Metrolinx advises that customers check the GO schedule before travelling.

Lakeshore West rail service will be temporarily modified from Saturday until end of service of Sunday to support faster, more frequent GO service as part of GO Expansion.

During this time, trains will run hourly between West Harbour GO and Union Station. Trains will also run every 30-minutes between Oakville GO and Union Station.

Some trains will have a 15-to-30-minute connection time to complete the trip from Oakville GO eastbound to Union and westbound to West Harbour GO.

Regular service is planned to resume on Monday.
