GO Transit riders on the Lakeshore West line should prepare for temporary service modifications this weekend due to major track upgrades.
On Friday, some late-night service adjustments can also be expected.
Metrolinx says these track closures are required to make essential improvements that will support faster, more frequent GO service as part of GO Expansion.
During this time, regular Lakeshore West train service will run between Niagara Falls and Aldershot GO, and between Mimico GO and Union Station.
GO replacement buses will operate, making stops at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations. These buses will then head to Bramalea GO, where customers can connect to eastbound trains on the Kitchener line to Union Station.
There will be no GO Transit service at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit or Long Branch GO.
Special GO trains will run between Mimico GO and Union Station on a 15-minute schedule.
Regular service is planned to resume on Monday.
More information about Lakeshore West service adjustments and alternate route options can be found on the GO Transit website.
