Hamilton police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Ancaster that left one man dead.
At approximately 7:33 p.m., officers responded to a serious collision on Wilson Street at the Highway 403 eastbound exit ramp.
Investigators determined that a 2025 Jeep Compass driven by a 29-year-old woman was travelling westbound on Wilson Street.
A 2022 Acura MDX driven by a 52-year-old man exited Highway 403 and was attempting a left turn onto Wilson Street when the two cars collided. A 43-year-old woman was seated in the front passenger seat of the Acura.
Authorities say all three occupants were transported to hospital.
The 52-year-old man driving the Acura was pronounced dead in hospital. The 43-year-old woman in the passenger seat sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The 29-year-old woman driving the Jeep was treated and is in stable condition.
Hamilton’s Collision Reconstruction Unit and Forensic Services Branch is investigating the collision.
Wilson Street was closed for several hours while investigators were on scene but has since reopened.
Detectives say witnesses who remained on scene have spoken with investigators, but police are asking anyone with additional information or dash cam footage to contact them at 905-546-4753.
