Halton police make arrest after internet threats

Halton police have made an arrest after internet threats forced schools into a “secure and hold” situation.

Police started an investigation after threatening internet postings were discovered on Instagram following calls from concerned Oakville residents.

As a precaution, several Oakville schools related to the suspect were placed in “secure and hold” while police located the suspect.

18-year old Ryan Heinz was arrested at an Oakville home Friday evening and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
