Ticats lose to Lions

B.C. quarterback Jonathon Jennings threw three touchdown passes in the first half and Andrew Harris rushed for two more late as the B.C. Lions defeated the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 40-13 Friday night.
The Ticats got on the board a minute 14 into the first quarter as quarterback Jeff Mathews connected with Luke Tasker for a 64-yard touchdown. The extra point was missed.
Hamilton’s only other score came with 39 seconds left in the third quarter as Mathews connected with Andy Fantuz for a 12-yard touchdown to make the score 27-13 for B.C.
Mathews was 22 of 32 for 270 yards passing and two interceptions. C.J. Gable led the rushing attack with 45 yards on 9 carries.
Hamilton are at home to Ottawa Sunday, November 1st at 1pm before finishing the regular season in the nation’s capital on Saturday the 7th at 4pm.
Elsewhere in the CFL, Kevin Glenn threw three TD passes to lead Montreal to a convincing 34-2 win over Toronto at Hamilton’s Tim Hortons Field Friday.
Ottawa is at Winnipeg and Edmonton visits Saskatchewan Sunday to end week 18.
