Fatal crash on QEW

A Mississauga man is dead following a single-car crashed that closed the QEW for hours Thursday morning.

Police say some sort of object crashed through the windshield while the victim was driving westbound near Mississauga Road.

They say he veered off into a bushy area, hitting a pole, a tree, and a fence.

The 43 year old driver was pronounced dead at hospital.

Police are still investigating exactly what flew into the man’s windshield.
