According to the City of Burlington’s website, online voting takes place from Oct. 14 to Oct. 23 and in-person advanced polls are open on Oct. 17 and Oct. 20.

Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward announced in June she would be running for re-election. The mayor’s campaign focuses on city concerns such as investing in infrastructure and public safety, taking action on traffic and congestion and bringing voters’ voices to every level of government.
The deadline to submit or withdraw nominations is Aug. 21 at 2 p.m.
Candidates are listed alphabetically by last name alongside a brief bio. This page will be updated regularly as the race develops, and individual ward candidate lists will follow the same format.

Ward 1 sits on the west edge of the city and stretches from the waterfront along North Shore Boulevard to the border of Waterdown.
Ward 2 lies south of the QEW and runs along the Burlington waterfront, with Guelph Line serving as its eastern boundary.
Ward 3 is Burlington’s largest municipal ward by area, beginning north of the QEW in the Palmer neighbourhood and extending past Highway 407 to Derry Road.
Situated between Guelph Line and Appleby Line, Ward 4 encompasses a largely residential area running from south of the QEW to the city’s waterfront. The northern section of Ward 4 sits between Walkers Line, Upper Middle Road and Appleby Line. Shawna Stolte is the ward’s current councillor but has announced she will not be running for re-election.
Ward 5 encompasses Burlington’s eastern edge, bounded by Appleby Line, Burloak Drive, Dundas Street and the waterfront.
Completing the city’s layout, Ward 6 covers Burlington’s northeastern corner. It extends from Upper Middle Road north past Highway 407 to Derry Road, framed between Walkers Line and Bell School Line.
