Crowds braved the rain in Niagara Falls this long weekend

The rainy weather this holiday long weekend didn’t put a damper on people visiting Niagara Falls.
While Monday may have started rainy, it cleared by mid-afternoon as tourists came from near and far to check out one of Canada’s most popular tourist destinations.
Local businesses like Yank’s Old Niagara Bar & Grill near Clifton Hill were ecstatic to see the crowds this weekend. They said while they were dealing with less-than-ideal weather conditions, that didn’t stop people from making the trip

The Queenston-Lewiston and Peace Bridge peaked at about half an hour delay heading back into the United States. The Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge was facing delays of more than an hour throughout the afternoon.
The Canada Border Services Agency reminds passengers who may be crossing the border to be prepared and have tips for a smoother trip including planning ahead and crossing during non-peak hours, having your travel documents handy, declaring any foods, plants and animals and knowing what you can and can’t bring into the country.
