Chili peppers for longer life?

New research finds people who eat chili peppers may live longer.
The American Heart Association says researchers analyzed the health and dietary records of more than 570,000 people in several countries.
They found people who eat chili pepper are 26 per cent less likely to die from cardiovascular disease than those who rarely or never eat chili pepper.
They’re also 23 per cent less likely to die from cancer and 25 per cent less likely to die from any cause.
Researchers say more research on the topic is needed as it’s unclear how much, how often or which type of chili pepper may be associated with health benefits.
Previous studies have found the capsaicin in chili peppers have an anti-inflammatory and blood-glucose regulating effect.
Capsaicin is what gives the peppers their heat.
