Welland is welcoming the world this weekend for the Junior and Under-23 Canoe Sprint World Championships.

It’s being held at the newly designed Flatwater Course on the Welland Recreational Canal. The city is playing host to 1,600 athletes and officials from 63 countries.
The heats and semi-finals are in full swing.
