Brantford cop’s deadly drunk driving case put over

The case of a Brantford police officer charged with impaired driving causing death has been put over until next month.
Ryan Grant, 33, was suspended from Brantford Police after his friend, Joey Flaherty, fell out of his Jeep and died. It happened on Hamilton’s Emerson St last month.
The two had been to a number of bars after a baseball tournament that day. Grant was off duty at the time.
He did not appear in court today.
Grant is free on $25,000 bail. He can’t have alcohol or drive.
