Brampton truck driver facing charges due to missing tires

A Brampton man is facing multiple charges after police observed his commercial truck driving on the QEW while missing a few tires.

Burlington OPP said on X, in the early hours of Jan. 21, around 3:03 a.m., the bobtail truck was travelling the Toronto-bound QEW from Ontario Street in St. Catharines.

Following a traffic complaint, officers said they were able to see and hear the truck approaching and stopped it near Casablanca Blvd. in Grimsby.

Detectives said the driver was completing his daily inspection report as the officer approached to speak with him.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with three commercial driving-related offences.
