VIDEO: Late night host Stephen Colbert isn’t backing down in a public dispute with his bosses at CBS over what he can and can’t put on air. Tuesday night he didn’t mince words when talking about the network’s denial of his claim that it blocked the broadcast of his interview with Texas Senate candidate James Talarico. The drama began unfolding Monday night when Colbert had invited Talarico, who is running in the Democratic primary in Texas, to appear on the show. Early in the broadcast Colbert said the lawyers for CBS told him “in no uncertain terms that we could not have him on.” The late night host says the lawyers wanted to avoid clashing with new guidance from the Federal Communications Commission.
