Another McGuinty government pay raise

Opposition parties and taxpayers are fuming, after finding out eHealth Ontario is giving staff merit pay, and bonuses of nearly 10 per cent.

That’s despite the government’s push for a 2 year wage freeze for about 1,000,000 public sector workers. Many argue that after spending a billion dollars to develop eHealth records, there is very little to show for it… So critics are demanding the Liberal government rescind the bonuses. Health minister Deb Matthews says she hauled the eHealth top brass on the carpet, and told them to take another look at the bonuses being handed out.
