Brant OPP handed out four stunt driving charges in less than 12 hours this week.
The drivers were caught between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 4:15 a.m. Thursday in Brant County.
Police say the drivers were all travelling more than 50 km/h faster than the posted speed limit.
In the first case, a 20-year-old from Cambridge was clocked travelling 136 km/h on Highway 24 in the 80 km/h zone.
About an hour later, police charged two more drivers caught speeding on the same highway in the 80 km/h zone.
Police say a 22-year-old from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation and a 52-year-old from the City of Brantford were travelling 146 km/h.
At 4:15 a.m. Thursday officers charged a 55-year-old from Oakville who was clocked at 146 km/h on Colborne St. East in the 80 km/h zone.
“This is an alarming number of people travelling at these high speeds in the County of Brant in a short period of time,” said OPP in a news release.
“Aggressive driving is one of the “Big Four” driving behaviours that contribute to road fatalities in Ontario.”
All four had their vehicles impounded for seven days and received a seven-day licence suspension.
