Quick arrests made in Petrocan robbery

Some quick work by two-legged and four-legged front line Hamilton officers has resulted in two arrests in a gas station robbery just after 11pm Saturday night.

Hamilton Police Canine Unit led by Police Services Dog Scout and his handler sniffed out a pair of suspects after an armed robbery at the Petro-Canada station at 817 Queenston Road.

One of the suspects was armed with a long gun.

An 18-year man and a youth from the GTA face a number of charges including robbery & firearms offences for using/possessing a loaded firearm.

No injuries were reported in the robbery.
