Six Niagara EMS employees test positive for COVID-19

Niagara EMS says six employees have tested positive for COVID-19.

The affected employees were tested between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2 and are now isolating at home.

None of the infected workers were in the workplace while symptomatic or awaiting test results, according to a news release from Niagara Region.

Niagara Public Health is handling contact tracing and say no risk to the public has been identified.

Niagara EMS employs over 400 people, including paramedics, emergency medical dispatchers, nurses and administration staff.
