Hamilton Mayor Eisenberger presented with clear face mask

The Canadian Hard of Hearing Association’s Hamilton branch has presented Mayor Fred Eisenberger was presented with a clear face mask.

The gesture is part of an effort to bring awareness to difficulties faced by people who are hard of hearing when speaking with someone wearing a mask.

The association says people with hearing loss have much better comprehension when they are able to see the speaker’s lips.

These clear masks are available for sale. A portion of each sale will go to the CHHA’s Hamilton branch.
