Peel Regional Police have charged two Brantford men in connection with an armed kidnapping in Mississauga last summer.
Officers say the victim was driving his vehicle in the area of Dixie Road and Dundas Street on Aug. 23 when he was intentionally rear-ended by the suspects’ vehicle.
When the victim tried to exchange information with the suspects, one of them revealed a firearm. The suspects then forced the victim into their vehicle.
Investigators say he was taken to a warehouse in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Ridgeway Drive in Mississauga, where he was allegedly assaulted.
He later reported the incident to Peel Regional Police and received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
Following an investigation, officers arrested two men on Nov. 5 at a home in Brantford, where they also seized a 12 gauge shotgun.

Raza-Syed Jafri, 24, of Brantford has been charged with kidnapping with firearm to hold for ransom and conspiracy to commit indictable offence.
Aziz Syed, 32, of Brantford has been charged with careless storage of firearm and knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm.
Both men were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Police say they believe it was an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
