1 person hospitalized after fire in Oakville home

Fire crews battled flames at an Oakville home Tuesday morning in a fire that sent one person to hospital and caused extensive damages.

Halton police say responders received reports of a fire at a home on Tinsmith Lane around 8 a.m.

Officers say that one person has been taken to hospital, but have not disclosed the nature of the injuries sustained or if there was anyone else in the home at the time of the incident.

At this time, police say it is “too early to speculate on causes or potential criminal aspect to the fire.”
