Hamilton fire says an early morning suspicious blaze at a two-storey, multi-residential building resulted in $250,000 worth of damages.
On Friday shortly after 2:30 a.m., crews responded to a fire at 237 Victoria Ave. North.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames and heavy smoke coming from the building.
Crews say several residents had exited and were assisted out by police and firefighters.

Firefighters say they entered the building to extinguish the fire and search for anyone else who may have still been inside.
All residents were accounted for while some tenants were offered care by Hamilton paramedics at the scene.
Hamilton fire does not have information regarding the nature or extent of any injuries at this time.
The Office of the Fire Marshal was also notified and police are investigating.
