Brantford police are asking residents to avoid a section of River Road amid an active investigation Tuesday afternoon.

In a post on X around 4:30 p.m., officers say there is a police presence in the area of River Road, near Marlene and Baldwin avenues.

Police did not provide details on the nature of the investigation.
