Larry Brock to step down as MP in Sept. to return to the courtroom

Larry Brock, Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations Member of Parliament (MP) has announced on Thursday that he’ll be stepping down as of Sept. 18 to return to the courtroom.

Earlier this summer, Brock also stepped back from his role as shadow minister of justice.

He has now accepted an opportunity to return directly to the frontlines of the Brantford Crown Attorney’s office.

Brock was first elected to the House of Commons on Sept. 20, 2021, as the MP for Brantford-Brant.

On April 28, 2025, he was re-elected to represent the newly formed riding of Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations.

“My commitment to community safety hasn’t wavered one bit and getting back into the courtroom means I can keep being tough on crime, making sure real justice happens right here at home,” Brock said in a statement.

“This is a community that values hard work, public safety and personal responsibility. I have no doubt there are great days ahead for our riding and our country.”
