Collision temporarily closes Hwy. 407 ramp in Burlington, injures three

A two-vehicle collision has closed a Highway 407 exit in Burlington and sent three people to hospital with injuries.

The closure is at the Plains Road access where the toll road meets Highway 403. Police say drivers should avoid the area and plan an alternate route.

Ontario Provincial Police reported the collision around 10:30 a.m. and say that the highway is expected to reopen around 2 p.m.

Police say that one of the injured has possible life-altering injuries.
