Canada Post’s CUPW employees to vote on final offers starting July 21

Some 53,000 Canada Post workers can begin voting on the employer’s last contract offer on Monday.

Votes can be cast until Aug. 1 on the corporation’s offers for collective agreements.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers argues that the offer does not meet workers’ needs.

The employer’s proposal would see wage hikes of more than 13 per cent but also says part-time workers Canada Post says are necessary to keep the postal service afloat.
