Thorold community group launches fundraiser to meet demand

A group in Thorold is launching a fundraiser to help pay for its many community services.

The Thorold Community Activities Group runs sports and rec programs, a community pantry, literacy support and seniors programs.

The group’s development coordinator says requests for support have increased 400 per cent in the last year.

The group is launching an online 50-50 draw every two weeks for the next couple of months to increase their funding.
