The Blue Jays had a brutal start to their three-game series against the San Diego Padres – the Jays losing nine to one. The biggest story of the game was the poor play of struggling starter Alek Manoah, who took the mound for the second time since a stint in the minors. It really wasn’t his night, as the right-hander couldn’t even get through four innings.
