Four masked men attack victim with axe

Niagara Regional Police are searching for four suspects after a violent home invasion in St. Catharine’s.

Last night four masked men broke into a home on Cross Street. Police say they were armed with an axe, a handgun and what appeared to be bear repellant. They were wearing dark clothing with bandanas across their faces to hide their identities. Police say the suspects assaulted the residents.

At least one person allegedly suffered serious injuries after being attacked with an axe. Police say the home was specifically targeted. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
