Niagara police arrested a Welland man accused of child sexual abuse and exploitation material following an investigation that began in April.

On Thursday, detectives executed a search warrant at a Welland residence and arrested 37-year-old Johnnathon Michael Edmond Barlow for allegedly accessing and possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material.

Barlow was held in custody after his arrest and is set to appear for a bail hearing on Thursday at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
