HPL looking for mural submission for new Upper Stoney Creek branch

Hamilton Public Library is looking for mural submissions for their new branch.

The new Valley Park branch and recreation building, located on Paramount Dr. in Upper Stoney Creek, is expected to open next spring.

The mural will be installed on the exterior wall of the building.

The piece should be welcoming and invite a sense of arrival and the library wants something that celebrates and reflects the history and local relevance to the Upper Stoney Creek community and/or celebrates the local geographic environment and HPL’s commitment to sustainability.

Submissions can be created in any medium. It must be submitted as a high-resolution digital files suitable for large-format printing.

The library will print the piece onto a series of panels with a combined length of 14.62 metres and height of 4.27 metres.

The entry deadline is June 20 by 11 p.m.
