McMaster projects connects Indigenous communities through stories of resistance

A new McMaster project is bringing together two Indigenous communities connected by a painful history in Hamilton and Brantford.

‘Re-neighbouring as Reconciliation’ connects survivors of the Mush Hole at the Mohawk Institute with Inuit tuberculosis patients brought from Nunavut to Hamilton’s sanatorium.

Vanessa Watts, associate professor of Indigenous studies and sociology, talked about the project and its role in reconciliation.
