Gas station robberies in Halton

Halton police are trying to determine if two gas station robberies in Oakville and Burlington were committed by the same people.

Just before 10 Thursday night, the Esso gas station at Speers Road and Dorval Drive in Oakville was robbed by two men wearing black masks.

They fled on foot on Speers Road.

About 45 minutes before that, three white men between the ages of 20 and 25 robbed the Shell gas station at Mainway and Appleby Line in Burlington.

They also ran away on foot.
