Skateboarder hit in Pelham

A 14 year old boy hit by a car while riding his skateboard in pelham last night is in critical condition with head injuries.

Niagara police have not released the identity of the boy who was airlifted to Hamilton General after he was struck by a car on Foss Road near Balsam Street just after seven Wednesday night.

He was skateboarding with a 13 year old boy who was not injured.

A 32 year-old woman from Welland was driving the car.

A collision reconstruction team spent more than six hours trying to determine the cause.

No charges have been laid thus far.
